A dry screw vacuum pump is an oil-free, positive displacement pump that uses two intermeshing, helical-screw rotors to capture, compress, and exhaust gas. Gas is trapped in chambers formed by the rotating screws and the pump housing, then transported axially towards an outlet port. Because the screws rotate without touching each other or the housing, and without needing oil for lubrication, the system maintains a clean, uncontaminated vacuum, making it ideal for industries like chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductor manufacturing.
